This spoon is designed for slower salmon trolling speeds. Spring Salmon Fishing in Owen Sound is “HOT” only if you troll slowly, so we made a spoon that could catch Springs, Lakers and found the Steelhead can’t resist the Swinger. The Swinger is Tournament and Charter ready. It’s ideal for use with Downriggers, Flatlining, behind Flashers, Lead Core, Copper, Slide Divers, Deeper Divers. Use the Swinger along with cutbait, herringstrips and anchovy. These are the norm in most spreads and need to be trolled slower on average. Slower trolling also helps catch bigger fish and when fishing in colder water, slow trolling is the only way to produce them. Our “Swinger” Spoon has been tested to catch fish as slow as 1.3 MPH. and up to 2.5 MPH., and yes, it is perfect for big Lake trout. The unique side to side, eratic swinging action is wide and life like. Also, more and more anglers are trolling slower to save fuel and target lunkers that need an easy meal. The single 3X, extra strong, single side bend hook, (not Siwash) penetrates better than a treble. Our testing has shown all fish (including cart wheeling Steelhead) hook up, stay on and are landed with ease, unlike other hooks.
