"April and May"
April and May is a very exciting time of year to fish for Salmon, it can be cool outside the cabin but inside is is very warm. (Well heated) We see catches of many young Chinook Salmon most under 10lbs. These salmon are in chaseing and feeding on the bait fish. Early morning (first light) is the best as the water is ice cold. The action slows down towards noon then late in the evening can turn on for a short time some days. A good morning we can boat up to 20 fish before noon (best in 6 hours was 65) with most of them biteing before 8am. If you like to eat fish then try a spring charter for these tasty salmon, you will want to come back every year.
Later in May we are still catching salmon but we see an equal amount of trout as well. The weather in may is nice water is still cold but air temps are warm.
"June"
June is a great month for weather and a mixed bag of fish, we catch many Lake trout, Salmon, Rainbow, and some Brown trout. Early morning is still best but catch fish all day.
"July"
July very nice weather, we see most our catch as Salmon the rest is made up of Lake Trout & Rainbow trout. This is the month that we recommend bringing your family out, lots of warm sunshine and the winds are light most of the time. Mid day is a perfered time of day to head out and the fish are not shy, with almost no other boat traffic out on the water we can fish anywhere the fish are and enjoy it in private.
"August"
August still very nice weather we catch mostly Salmon with some Lake Trout and Rainbow trout mixed in. We are very busy in August so book early for prefered dates.
"September"
September we see a mix of Salmon Lake trout and Rainbow Trout, later in September the Rainbow trout start there fall run and we catch many bow’s in the 5lb. to 10lb. range. The fall colour change on the trees is an added bonus, for the early morning Rainbow Trout hunters.
"October November"
October, the shore line is picture perfect with the changing colors of the leefs. The weather is still very good and Rainbow trout are here in large numbers. They are feeding heavy before running into the area Stream’s to spawn, this activity is good till the end of November. First light in the morning is best this time year, we have had some great action later in the day but the morning is still more consistant.
